In The News...

HOT NEW SPEAKER added to March Conference:
John Abramson, M.D. is a family practice doctor who teaches at Harvard. His recent book Overdosed America, the broken promise of American Medicine is a block buster. Abramson is a fantastic speaker and doctors will want to sell his book at their office to help their patients understand why our brand of Integrative medicine make more sense than ever before!

New book by Joel M. Kauffman, Ph.D.

Synopsis
A fearless exposi of mainstream medicines most revered dogma, Malignant Medical Myths is solidly based on trusted medical and nutritional books and journals.Americans spend $2 trillion per year on health care, about $7,000 each, yet it buys almost the poorest healthcare among developed countries, with 200,000 deaths per year from medical treatment. Find out why advice from authorities on screening tests, drugs, diet, exercise, alcohol, radiation, radon, and water fluoridation is often wrong and commercially motivated. See how clinical trials are slanted.Understand how sickness is created to sell treatments, and which government agencies support these shenanigans.

Having acquired a fair amount of pharmacology and physiology over the years, I have remained skeptical of claims [of drug benefits] despite the glowingly positive reports of supposedly competently done research studies. And now Joel M. Kauffman has done what very few have the time, inclination and background to do? He has done a much needed in-depth review of these studies and challenged their validity. So, much of our apparent therapeutic progress in cancer is nothing more than earlier detection. Various groups in our society will be either alarmed or pleased depending on their interpretation of the cancer statistics, but nowhere will you find a better review.Despite my 25 years of clinical practice as a family doctor with Board certification in both family practice and preventive medicine, I didn't know these figures [on the non-benefits of mammograms]. Once you read them and look at Kauffman's resources and documentation there can be no argument. Now my only question is how can one put the brakes on this rapidly rolling medical juggernaut?
